Write Your Book and Meet New, Fun People in Los Angeles
NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, turns 13 this year. Help it through its inaugural year into the terrible teens by joining in the fun! If it’s your first year trying to write 50,000 words in a month, or if you’re an old pro who rarely left the house during November, then you should try venturing out to the write-ins this year. You’ll meet a lot of really interesting people and have a support system when that novel you’ve always wanted to write leads you into a shady corner filled with spiders.
Their Midnight Blast Off starts on October 31st at 8 PM in the IHOP at 7006 West Sunset Boulevard. They are typically found near the back emergency exit. You’ll know them by the laptops and atmosphere of excitement as the clock clicks down to midnight when NaNoWriMo finally begins! Feel free to attend in whatever Halloween costume you may be wearing.

Sounds like a great place to meet writers and wannabe writers. Just the atmosphere I might need to become truly inspired, get off my duff and put my thoughts on paper. Thanks!:)
